About the company:

For the first time theatrical troupe called "NUR", which from Tatar translates as "ray", was created in Ufa in 1912. However, it lasted only until 1918 and disintegrated with the outbreak of the Civil War. The theater was restored only a few decades later - in 1989, and three years later gained the status of a state theater. It was from this moment that the heyday of the Tatar theater began.

Despite the fact that the revived NUR Theatre is one of the youngest creative teams of Bashkortostan, over the years of its new history it managed to take a worthy place in the cultural space of the republic. The theater deserves recognition and true love of the audience not only in its native region, but also far beyond its borders. His repertoire includes the best examples of classics, as well as works by modern Bashkir, Tatar and foreign authors.

In 1994, the construction of a new theater building began, which it was decided to build on the foundations of the destroyed cinema, and four years later the move took place. In 2007, a new stage was built.
