Lake Kashkadan
Kashkadan, Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia
Description:
Lake Kashkadan is located on the territory of the city of Ufa in the Sipailovo microdistrict in the culture park of the same name.
The lake belongs to the right bank floodplain of the Ufa River. It is a natural reservoir of ancient origin. The length of Lake Kashkadan is 1020 meters, the width is on average 300 meters, the average depth is two and a half meters, and the area is 13.35 thousand square meters.
Its original name Ashkadan was forgotten and in the list of settlements in 1870 the village was marked on a pond without a name. Recently, on tourist schemes, the lake became known as Sipaylovskoye, and on the plan of the city of Ufa in 1984 it was mistakenly called Lake Kashkadan.
In 2002, the reservoir was radically civilized in the process of construction on its shore of the park of culture and recreation "Kashkadan".
