Monument to the janitor

In the central part of Ufa, right in front of the entrance to one of the major city shopping centers, there is one of the most original sights of the city - a monument to the janitor.

The monument was created by Ufa sculptor Khalit Galiullin, and inaugurated in November 2007. The monument is a bronze figure of a janitor, depicting him in full growth, the total weight of which is 300 kilograms. The janitor is depicted at work - in his hands he holds a broom and restores order on the street. Apparently, creating this monument, the authors sought to show the importance and significance of this difficult profession and teach people to treat other people’s work with respect.
