Description:

The monument to the famous Bashkir poet Miftahetdin Akmulla was erected in 2008 in a square located near the pedagogical university, which bears the name of this outstanding enlightener. According to the idea of the authors of the monument, it is made in such a way that the audience could be on the same level with the sculpture - they could sit next to it and also become part of the composition.

Miftahetdin Akmulla, who worked in the XIX century, had a serious influence on the development of not only Tatar literature, but also, in general, Turkic culture. He enjoyed great popularity among Kazakhs, Turkmens, Karakalpaks and other Turkic-speaking peoples. Akmulla’s poetry is imbued with the humanistic ideas of that era, it combines traditional techniques and the most progressive ideas of social life. The works of Miftahetdin were loved by people, gained deep recognition. And it is no coincidence that he began to be called Akmulla - this word has the meaning of "bright", "righteous teacher". This is the highest appreciation of sincerity and truthfulness, the desire for the brightest, inherent in the poetry of the Master.

The sculptural composition is created in such a way that Akmulla, as it were, comes to the village after a long road and goes to the spring to rest and quench his thirst. He sits at the spring, and the children gather around him, to whom he begins to tell a fascinating story. In order to accurately depict this moment, the sculptors decided to plant willows next to the monument and make a spring. Now anyone can feel like a little child listening to a wise poet, sitting next to him.
