Tulyuk lakes
Tyuluk, Chelyabinsk region, Russia
Description:
Tyuluk Lakes is a lake-wetland system that is located between the ridges of the Berry Mountains and Avalak in the Uchalinsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan north of the Iremel massif. The place where the Tyuluk River goes underground in stone fields is the end of the Tulyuk lakes.
The Tyuluk basin stretches between two ridges at a distance of ten kilometers. It is an alternation of upland swamps with black mirrors of water. On the shores grows a difficult Ural taiga. Tyuluk lakes are a popular tourist attraction.
Dry trees stick out of the black marsh water. The place resembles the dwelling of the fairy-tale character Baba Yaga.
The currents in the chain of lakes and swamps are not visible, but they are present, since the water bounded on three sides by mountains is forced to flow to the west, to the place where the exit is. Here the Tyuluk River is born, which travelers are used to watching in the form of a seething stream in the village of Tyuluk.
