Yumaguzin reservoir
Description:
Yumaguzinsky reservoir is located in Bashkortostan not the White River. It appeared in 1998 during the construction of the Yumaguzinskaya HPP. Despite the opposition of environmental organizations, the project for the construction of hydropower plants was implemented. The reservoir was filled in 2004, so it can not be found on all maps. The dam is 600 meters long and 63 meters high allowed to form a reservoir with a mirror area of 36 square kilometers.
The reservoir helps reduce the possibility of flooding cities and villages located downstream of the White River, during floods and heavy rains.
