Bashkortostan, Abzelilovsky district, Askarovo village, str. Soviet, 23
About the company:
The museum was established in 1991 as a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The exhibition was opened to visitors in 1995. The museum contains more than 3,000 exhibits on the history of the Trans-Urals, among which the collection of women’s breastplates richly decorated with corals and silver coins, a collection of various handmade felt products, is striking.
The rarities of the museum are archaeological finds: a bronze axe, sickles, arrowheads, chain mail, a collection of objects from the late Sarmatian burial - a two-edged sword and a bone tip, double-component wands with silver plates.
The museum presents a rich material of flint guns, nuclei and chips, similar to the tools of the Acheulean and Mousterian eras, from a series of original hand-cutting guns of the oldest Paleolithic site in the Urals of Urta-Tube, located on the western shore of Lake Karabalykty, near the village of Tashbulatovo, Abzelil district.
The museum's collection is complemented by a rich photo documentary material representing the history of the district in different years, as well as materials on combat and labor exploits and achievements of the district's population.
