Museum of History of Education Development of Ufa
About the company:
The museum is located in the historical center of Ufa in an old house, which is a monument of architecture and history of republican significance.
The building was built in the early twentieth century as a merchant house, but until 1917 it housed a private women's gymnasium S.P. Khitrovskaya, and during the Great Patriotic War - the Academy of the General Staff of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
During the Soviet period, the building was repeatedly used to house educational institutions (schools, the House of Pioneers, the Institute for Teacher Improvement). Thus, the history of the building is inextricably linked with various stages of the development of the education system in the territory of Bashkortostan from the pre-revolutionary period to the present and determines its high socio-cultural value.
The Republican Museum of the History of Education Development was established by order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan G.M. Mukhamedyanova of 31.05.1999, opened in September 2000. In 2013, the interactive exposition “School Class of the 1960s” was created, where visitors immerse themselves in the school environment of fifty years ago. In 2015, the exposition dedicated to the education system of Bashkortostan during the Great Patriotic War and teachers, both front-line soldiers and those working in the rear, was radically modernized, and its own electronic Book of Memory was created, which continues to be replenished.
In 2023, the Museum of the History of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan was completely updated. A great deal of work has been done: major repairs have been made, a new hall “Soviet and modern eras of education” has been mastered, where the stages of development of Soviet education in modern times are presented.
There are currently several permanent exhibitions:
1. History of education in the Republic of Bashkortostan until 1917
2. History of education on the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods.
3. The education system in the Republic of Bashkortostan during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
4. School class of the mid-1960s-1970s.
5. School textbooks of different years (a collection of textbooks published from the end of XIX to the beginning of XXI century).
