About the company:
The history of the gallery and the formation of its collection are unique. The gallery is located in the very center of the village of Voskresensky, on the banks of the river Tor, next to the ruins of the famous Resurrection copper smelting plant and the Resurrection Church, in the former home of doctor Ergard Ivanovich Corleys (1870-1927) - an architectural monument of the second half of the nineteenth century. The house is brick, one-storey, with a solemn row of arched windows, almost preserved in historical form.
The collection is based on the gift of 1970: 126 works by Moscow artists, former students and teachers of the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute, who were in the village of Voskresensky in the evacuation in 1941-1943. Their authors are world-renowned artists: Heliy Korzhev, Petr Ossovsky, Viktor Ivanov, Vladimir Stozharov, Igor Popov, Alexey Tkachev, Andrei and Sergey Tutunov, Valentin Purygin, Ivan Arkhipov, Viktor Babitsyn, Ruslan Kobozev, Oleg Butkevich, Andrei Martz, Boris Nemechek, Klara Vlasova, Taisiya Skorodumova and many others, as well as their teachers - Vasily Pochitalov, Mikhail Dobroserdov, Akindin Shorchev, Sergey Grigorchev, Alexander Shegorchev. Each name is a golden page of Soviet fine art.
