Salavat Yulaev is a Bashkir national hero, one of the leaders of the Peasant War, an associate of Emelyan Pugachev an improviser. When Salavat Yulaev appeared before Pugachev in the Berd fortress, he was 19 years old. Salawat presided over many of the key events of this war. The surviving documents testify to Salavat Yulaev’s personal involvement in more than twenty battles. He distinguished himself by the fact that he took the Sim and Katavsky factories, besieged the Chelyabinsk fortress, participated in the siege of Orenburg, burned the Krasnoufim fortress.
