Translated from Bashkir Ukly-Kai means “mountain of arrows”. According to legend, young Bashkirs shot at the rock before marriage. If the arrow reached the mountain, it was believed that the boy became a man. In confirmation of the legend, arrowheads were often found on the slopes of the rock. The picturesque location has interesting art objects that have become the hallmark of the Gafuri district: a memorial of seven arrows, a stele “In Memory of Batyrs” (“Batyrzar Rukhy”).
