About the company:

The foundations of the Nature of the Earth Museum have been formed since 1946. A huge contribution to the acquisition of all collections of the museum was made by K.F. Sedykh, a member of the European Society of Entomologists, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (1999), laureate of the Komi Republic Government Prize (2004).

Working in pos. In the mid-1940s, K.F. Sedykh collected samples of local flora and fauna. In 1950, he created a museum at the House of Pioneers of Ukhta, most of the exhibits of which were collected in the annual expeditions with schoolchildren conducted by K.F. Grey. In 1985, on the basis of the order of the administration of secondary school No. 3 in Ukhta, the Museum “Nature of the Earth” was created on a voluntary basis. In January 1996, the museum received the status of the state, and on February 17, 2006 it became a branch of the MU "Museum Association" of MGO "Ukhta".

Currently, the Museum of Nature of the Earth can not accept visitors, preparing his move to a new place of residence.
