Khorinsky Local History Museum

Resp. Buryatia, Khorinsky district, Khorinsk village, Lenin street, d 21a

About the company:

The stands present the life of mets residents, the pedigree of the Hori-Buryat. The central place in the exposition dedicated to the traditional life of the Buryats is occupied by a yurt. Its typical environment (the hearth, ritual perdmets of Buddhism, clothes, household utensils, musical instruments) characteristic of home life of the late XIX and XX centuries is preserved. There are items that have not been found in our daily life for a long time (shamanka headdress, cast-iron products of the Petrovsky Ironworks, used in families of Buryats and Russians). There is an old saddle, a full set of horse harnesses, as the most necessary in the life of a nomad Buryat.
