Novoselenga Museum of Decembrists

The Novoselenga Museum of Decembrists is the first museum dedicated to the Decembrists of Transbaikalia, the Novoselenga Museum of Decembrists became. It was opened for the 150th anniversary of the Decembrist uprising on Senate Square on December 24, 1975. The museum is located in the house of the merchant of the first guild, honorary citizen of the city of Selenginsk D.D. Startsev, a friend of the Decembrists brothers N.A. and M.A. Bestuzhev and K.P. Thorson. The building is built in the style of noble estates of the 40s of the XIX century.
