Tour programme

Day 1.

Food: Independently.

Departure from the bus station in Ulan-Ude by regular transport to the village of Ust-Barguzin. Arrival in the village of Ust-Barguzin or Turka. Meeting with the group from 12 to 20 hours. Night in the village or on the spit.

The mouth of Barguzin was founded in 1666 by the detachment of Cossack Gavrila Lovtsov at the mouth of the Barguzin River. Initially, the alloy point was located on the right bank of the river. After raising the water level in Baikal due to the construction of the Irkutsk HPP in 1956, it was moved to the higher left bank. In the village at the moment there are still houses moved during resettlement.

Note: In the event of a delay for any reason, tourists independently catch up with the group. We recommend arriving the day before the tour begins!

Day 2.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch for snacks. Dinner.

Breakfast. Climb to the observation point of the peninsula of St. Nos, (7-8 hours, sometimes 9 hours) from where an amazing panorama of Baikal, Chivyrkui and Barguzin Bay opens. First, the trail climbs to the observation point called the Cross. Snack. For those who are not tired (at the discretion of the guide), climbing the St. Nose Plateau (climbing time to 15-00, with a delay and a slow pace - the guide has the right to turn the group down). In the south and north there is one horizon and only in the far west there are views of the mountain, where even in summer there is snow. Descent from the top of the peninsula (the descent is quite steep, so be careful, following all the commands and recommendations of the guide). Dinner. Night on the shore.

Note: Each participant must take at least 1 liter of drinking water with them.

Day 3.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Early rise. Moving to Chivyrkui Bay. Kayaking. Breakfast. Kayak rafting in the Chivyrkui Bay (Monakhovo - Okunevaya Bay (10 km) or Sorozhye (5 km). Chivyrkui Bay is considered the most picturesque on Baikal. Every island in the bay is a natural monument. The shores of the bay are cut by picturesque sand coves. It is worth watching the dawn! The sun seems to slowly appear because of the Barguzin mountains, which are located on the other side of the bay and are very picturesque. In the snake bay that in the bay there is a hot spring, or rather there are three. Currently, they are made of wooden baths, which can be visited by anyone.

Day 4.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Morning breakfast. Transition early in the morning, to hot springs (about 10-12 km). The average speed of the kayak is 5-7 km / h. Kayak rafting is possible for almost anyone, but you should strictly follow all the instructions of the instructor! Special training is not required, but a little physical training is desirable. The beauty of the islands and leisurely rest on various picturesque shores will please you. All nights in tents, no civilization around! Lunch and dinner. Rest on the sand spit. Alloying is carried out only in favorable weather.

Day 5.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

A spare day in case of bad weather.

In case of good weather in the morning, we go to Okunevaya Bay. We rest all day, sunbathe. Beautiful bay, hidden from the winds. It's a coniferous forest, pure nature. There is a village within an hour’s walk from where you can call home, as there was no communication for two days before. A tourist bath is possible in the camping area.

If the weather is bad on this day, then rest on the spit near the river Krestova. Sandy beach both from the Baikal and near the river. Lunch. Dinner tonight. Tent night.

Day 6.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Early rise. Return along the coast and beautiful cliffs by kayaking towards Monakhovo (12 km). The distance is small, so go slowly, but it will depend on the weather. Baikal is especially beautiful in the hours of dawn. Rock survey, bay. Rest on the sandy shore. Night in the tent. We cook lunch and dinner on a gas stove. In one of the places where parking is allowed, be sure to sit by the fire, look at the stars.

Chivyrkui Bay is located on the territory of the national park. There are many secluded coves in the bay, but unfortunately, it is not allowed to stop everywhere, only in specially equipped places. But rafting on kayaks, we will see the maximum number of picturesque places along the way.

Day 7.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast, transfer to Monakhovo. Baidarok gathering on the shore. By road, departure to Ust-Barguzin. Lunch at the cafe on the way alone. It is paid directly by participants on the spot. Departure to Ulan-Ude. Completion of the program at 18-19 hours. (possibly later).
