About the company:

The regional state budget institution of culture “Undorovsky Paleontological Museum” is the first museum in the Volga region and Russia at the unique location of ancient marine lizards of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Its collections contain more than 2,500 samples found mainly in the vicinity of the village of Undora, as well as in the territory of the Ulyanovsk and adjacent regions. The museum was created in 1981 (originally in the status of a school) and is headed by the chairman of the Ulyanovsk branch of the All-Russian Paleontological Society Vladimir Mikhailovich Efimov (the discoverer of more than 20 new species of fossil marine reptiles, including UNDOROSAURS and SIMBIRSCOSAURS, the initiator of the creation of the Ulyanovsk and Sengileevsky paleontological reserves, who in 1985 gave the names of SIMBRICIT and the local method of processing). The museum cooperates with scientific institutions of Russia and foreign countries, and also provides consulting assistance to other museums of the Volga region. Three exposition halls - natural, paleontological and historical - will allow you to make an exciting journey through the history of our area, which we conventionally call UNDORIA!
