Uray History Museum
About the company:
On July 16, 1980, the Urai City Executive Committee adopted a decision "On the opening of a museum of the history of the city and the labor glory of enterprises and organizations of the city." In connection with the opening of the museum, the Executive Committee of the City Council of People's Deputies decided to offer the leadership of the construction and installation department No. 4 of the Tyumenneftestroy trust to provide patronage assistance in strengthening the material and technical base of the museum of the history of the city from 1980 to 1983.
On the opening day of the museum on April 20, 1981, the first heads of enterprises and institutions of the city, representatives of the public, schoolchildren gathered at the Discoverers Square. They were also the first visitors for whom they conducted the first tour of the new halls of the museum. On this wonderful holiday in the cultural life of Uraya, the first secretary of the city committee of the party Yuri Torkhov congratulated those present. With a bright emotional speech addressed veteran Shaim Y.N. Benkovsky. It called on young people to take an active part in collecting materials for the museum. This order was enthusiastically accepted. Komsomol members pledged to take patronage of the museum. The solemn moments were the transfer of the symbolic key from the builders to the museum. The right to cut the red ribbon was granted to Y.N. Benkovsky. He was the first to share his impressions of the exposition: I really liked the hall, which reflects the main stages of the development of the city since 1960. Here I met many familiar photos of the pioneers of Shaim. The hall is nicely decorated. Very impressive photos with lighting. I wish there were more working models. They will attract interest from young people. I am going to make a personal contribution to the organization of materials for the museum: I will give some interesting photos for citizens. The opening of the museum was a cultural event for the young town, which at that time was only 16 years old. Linnikov Museum was headed by Alevtin Vasilievna, who was the first collector of the history of his native city, and for 22 years remained a true enthusiast of museum work. Alevtina Vasilievna - Honored Worker of Culture and Art of the Russian Federation.
