We invite you to a walking tour of the old city, during which you are waiting for a theatrical excursion with the posadnik Sbyslav or posadnik Ethymia. You will learn about the history of Novgorod Detinets, fire snakes, rituals and games. Once on the territory of the Kremlin, you will see its towers and walls, visit the Hagia Sophia Cathedral and hear the history of the Sophia Bell. The guide will tell about how in 1862 the monument “Millennium of Russia” was created in honor of the anniversary of Rurik’s calling to Russia. On the territory of the Kremlin you will see places where receptions of ambassadors, meetings of the Supreme Court, the Council of the Lords (the Novgorod “parliament”) and solemn feasts took place.
Next, you will go to the Yaroslavov Palace on the Great Bridge to see the place where in the 11th-15th centuries there was a great bargaining - the political and economic center of Veliky Novgorod at that time. On the territory of the Yaroslavov Palace there are several interesting objects at once: St. Nicholas Cathedral, the gate tower of the living yard, the Church of St. George the Victorious and Paraskeva Friday.
Together with the guide, visit the old mansion of the merchant of the 2nd guild Emil Ivanovich Berg, where you will be waiting for a coffee break with an incredibly delicate author's dessert "Rachmaninov lilac".
