We invite you to tour the places of historical glory, where the Russian state was born. We will walk along the Volkhov embankment and visit Detinets (the second name of the Novgorod Kremlin), then go to the Vladychny Dvor and consider in detail the monument “Millennium of Russia”.
A scattering of treasures of history and architecture
Our guide will show you the best views of St. Sophia Cathedral and its belfry, after which we will cross Volkhov along the pedestrian bridge and find ourselves in the Yaroslavl courtyard. Long ago, it was in this stone architectural complex that the prince’s court and shopping arcades were located, so here the guide’s story about trade and the Novgorod Veche will be especially visual. From the shore of the Volkhov, we will have a view of the necklace of temples, ancient churches and other architectural monuments of the XII-XVIII centuries.
