Description:
The Millennium of Russia monument is located on the territory of the Novgorod Kremlin. It was established in 1862 in honor of the millennium of the foundation of the Russian state.
On the monumental building resembling a bell, you can see the figures of almost all Russian tsars, as well as great commanders, monks, prominent Russian figures, writers. There are 129 figures in total. The sculptural group is crowned by a ball-power, on which stands an angel with a cross in his hand and a kneeling woman, symbolizing Russia.
Nearby is the railway station "Novgorod Passenger".
