State Museum of Artistic Culture of Novgorod Land

The State Museum of Artistic Culture of the Novgorod Land is located in the city of Veliky Novgorod on the site of the inactive girl's Tithe monastery. The date of foundation of the monastery is considered to be 1327, with the construction of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin. The names of Sergei Rachmaninov and Mstislav Dobuzhinsky are associated with the monastery. Here they found the resting place of Praskovya Lupolov and Elder Maria.
