June 10 at 19.00 in the Novgorod Kremlin on the site near the tower of Kokuy in the framework of the festival "Theater Veche" will be the play "Carnival" performed by the theater "Royal Giraffe" (Tallinn, Estonia).
“Carnival” is a square action, performed in the aesthetics of a medieval carnival, consisting of miniatures that reveal the theme of Life, Death and Love, hidden behind everyday situations and carnival masks.
Acting out a simple plot before the respected audience, the actors offer to make a dizzying flight through conditions that are so rare in the world of everyday life. Delight ... quiet joy ... anxious anticipation ...
The performances of this theater are called “sessions of mass hypnosis”, and the audience has admired for 20 years. All the work of the team amaze, surprise, make you think.
In the brilliant skill of choreography cuts the earthly truth of associative pantomime, square clowning flows into poetry. Theatrical performances should not be watched but felt, and at the same time it is tough, relevant, on the edge.
The members of the collective performed as part of various theater troupes at venues in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Paris, Barcelona, Montreal, Berlin, Dublin, Amsterdam, Rome, Brussels and other cities of the world. Known works with such masters as Terry Gilliam, Andron Konchalovsky, Nikita Mikhalkov, Mikhail Shemyakin, Shusaku Takeuchi, Slava Polunin.
