The Faceted Chamber

The exhibition “Jewelry Art VI – XVII centuries in the collection of the Novgorod Museum” is located on the second floor of the Faceted Chamber in the Gothic Hall and the Cross Chamber.

The collection of decorative and applied arts of the Novgorod Museum is one of the most significant in Russia and covers the period from the V to the XIX century. Its basis is the treasures of the cathedral and monastic sacristy of Veliky Novgorod, one of the largest centers of silver-bearing of Ancient Russia. It was here that we managed to preserve precious shrines and preserve the continuity of artistic traditions.
