National Park "Alania" was established in 1998 with the aim of preserving a unique natural complex in North Ossetia, in its part called Alanya.
The idea of creating a national park in the republic arose in the 50s of the XX century, and in 1958 the first reserve "Tseisky" was organized. For several years, other reserves joined it, and in 1967 the North Ossetian State Reserve was opened.
Currently, the national park "Alania" is a national treasure of the republic, a large number of natural, cultural and historical monuments are located on its territory, educational and research work is carried out.
