You will visit the picturesque, ancient village of Bogolyubovo. It was here that Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky founded the Holy Bogolyubsky Monastery in the 12th century. It is considered one of the oldest in Russia and built on the site of a miraculous appearance to the Prince of the Mother of God. Here was also founded his residence, the elements of the chambers of which is the only civil building of pre-Mongolian Rus that has survived to our time. Also on the territory of the monastery there is a church of the Nativity of the Virgin of the 12th century, to our time only its lower part has been preserved, on the basis of which a new church was built in the 18th century.

Next, we will pass through the monastery pond and go on a small pilgrimage through the Bogolyubovsky meadow to the pearl of ancient Russian architecture - the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl. The meadow in the bend of the Nerl River is a protected area. You will walk to the temple along a hiking trail surrounded by chirping birds, fluttering butterflies, feel the aroma of more than two hundred species of herbs and flowers.

The sharpened image of the temple is known all over the world, it is often compared with an elegant and delicate swan floating in blue waters. Every spring, during a spill, the water can reach almost the walls of the temple and it feels like it hovers above the ground.

A walk through Vladimir will begin on Cathedral Square – this is the heart of Vladimir, where ancient cathedrals and churches tower over the square, creating an atmosphere of spirituality and grandeur. Passing through the picturesque Lipka Park, we will visit the Assumption Cathedral (included in the UNESCO Heritage List) - a unique monument of Vladimir-Suzdal architecture with frescoes by the outstanding icon painter Andrei Rublev, then admire the architecture and unravel the secrets of the patterns of the Dmitriev Cathedral - a magnificent example of ancient Russian plastic and white-stone carvings.

Our route will pass along the original St. George Street, before it was the heart of the New City, here in the XII century was the courtyard of Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. On the way, you will meet many interesting characters: a scientist cat, an artist, a sculpture of Vladimir Fireman with a functioning water pump - a mechanism of the XIX century, a hut and a filler. You will see the symbol of the old city - a monument to Vladimir cherry and learn what it was famous for. Especially for tourists, there are two observation decks on the street, from where a beautiful view of the banks of Klyazma and the magnificent Assumption Cathedral opens. Near the first city pharmacy of the XVIII century is a monument to the pharmacist, according to legend, for good health, you need to rub his nose and baldness.

You will visit the Museum "Old Vladimir", which is located in the former water tower of the old city. Transfer to the pre-revolutionary provincial Vladimir of the second half of the nineteenth - early twentieth century. You will catch the mood of the life of the provincial city in photos and authentic objects of life of old Vladimir, and from the observation deck of the fourth floor you will admire the most picturesque views of the ancient city!

Then we will go to the Golden Gate - a monument of ancient Russian architecture and the most famous military-defensive structure of the 12th century. They were built by decree of Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky, who moved the capital of the principality from Suzdal to Vladimir. It was during this period that the city of Vladimir flourished and many civil, religious and defensive structures were built. The monument is included in the UNESCO Heritage List (currently under reconstruction).
