You will visit the picturesque, ancient village of Bogolyubovo. It was here that Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky founded the Holy Bogolyubsky Monastery in the 12th century. It is considered one of the oldest in Russia and built on the site of a miraculous appearance to the Prince of the Mother of God. Here was also founded his residence, the elements of the chambers of which is the only civil building of pre-Mongolian Rus that has survived to our time. Also on the territory of the monastery there is a church of the Nativity of the Virgin of the 12th century, to our time only its lower part has been preserved, on the basis of which a new church was built in the 18th century.

Next, we will pass through the monastery pond and go on a small pilgrimage through the Bogolyubovsky meadow to the pearl of ancient Russian architecture - the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl. The meadow in the bend of the Nerl River is a protected area. You will walk to the temple along a hiking trail surrounded by chirping birds, fluttering butterflies, feel the aroma of more than two hundred species of herbs and flowers.

The sharpened image of the temple is known all over the world, it is often compared with an elegant and delicate swan floating in blue waters. Every spring, during a spill, the water can reach almost the walls of the temple and it feels like it hovers above the ground. The walk will begin in the center of Suzdal on Red Square, which is adjacent to one of the oldest monasteries of the city - Rizopolozhensky. It was founded in 1207 and is associated with the Suzdal saint Euphrosyne. It was thanks to her prayers that the inhabitants of ancient Suzdal were able to escape the invasion of Batu Khan.

Next, let’s take a look at Old Street. It leads to another center of attraction of people - the Shopping Square and the Shopping Rows. Staraya Street is one of the oldest in Suzdal and until the end of the XVIII century was part of the central street of the city. At the beginning of the XX century it was called Old Vladimir. Now this street is known to many as the location for the filming of episodes of the film “The Marriage of Balzaminov”, it is here that Balzaminov’s house is located, in which a small official Mikhail Balzaminov and his mother dream of a marriage of convenience.

Next, our way will go to the Shopping Rows, where we will stop and admire the delightful views of Suzdal from one of several observation decks, and also see how rich the local shops are.

We will also see the building of the oldest inn of Suzdal, now there is a cozy cafe. The famous Suzdal Kremlin is traditionally located on the Kremlin Street, on the tower of which unusual clocks are thoroughly located. Their dial is similar to the chimes of the Moscow Kremlin, but instead of numbers it depicts the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet. Next, we will walk along the bridge over the Kamenka and continue a sightseeing tour of Suzdal by bus to one of the most important objects - Spaso-Eufimiev Monastery.

It is located on the outskirts of Suzdal, on the left, high bank of the Kamenka River. It reflects the whole complicated history of our state. He makes an incredibly strong impression, with his powerful appearance. We look beyond its powerful walls and hear the stunning overflows of the concert bell ringing

Then you will listen to fascinating tavern stories, because in those ancient times, about which I will tell you, taverns were not just drinking establishments, but real centers of social life. People of all classes gathered here, discussed the news, bargained, made deals and even treated diseases.

Tracts were of different kinds: from modest eateries, where simple snacks and kvass were served, to luxurious establishments with orchestras and dances. In the most famous taverns you could meet poets, artists and other celebrities of that time.
