Excursion "Stromynka - the great kandal way" (thematic)
Description:
The oldest overland route from Europe to northern Russian cities, the Soligalich-Stromansky Salt Route is a thousand-year trade route of Russia.
Excursion route: Collection at the Cathedral Square in Vladimir => Obroshikha (road to Yuriev-Polish) => Suzdal (walking along Stromyanka street => Gavrilov Posad (Ivanovo region) => Podolets village (walking and visiting the temple) => Yuriev Polsky (sight tour of the old city) => Return to Vladimir.
The uniqueness of the tour is in the discovery of new historical facts indicating that we have been using the road from Vladimir to Moscow (Beijing) for about 250 years, which means that the time of land use almost coincides with the opening of the kandal (convict) route to Siberia. Until that time, it was possible to get by land from Vladimir to Moscow only through Suzdal, Yuriev Polish, then Kirzhach and Chernogolovka.
