A unique phenomenon is its architecture and frescoes of the 12th century. The monastic ensembles will not leave you indifferent. You will visit one of the oldest monasteries - "The Mother of God-Christmas Monastery", in which the relics of the prince and commander Alexander Nevsky rested for more than four centuries. It was there, in the 13th century, that the Vladimir Diocese was established.

This monastery was the center of chronicles in the 13th-15th centuries. Visit the Princess Maiden Dormition Monastery, which was founded by the wife of Vsevolod the Great Nest, and which for a long time housed the relics of a Russian Orthodox saint, the Martyr Abraham of Bulgaria. A particle of relics is still stored today in the Assumption Cathedral of the monastery. Of course, it is impossible not to see the masterpiece of white-stone architecture, the monument of fortification "Golden Gate", which are the triumphal gates of the ancient city, embodying a huge layer of history. It was the Golden Gate that Vladimir began in the 12th century.
