In Vladimir, Venedikt Erofeev, the author of the immortal poem “Moscow-Petushki”, lived a little less than a year.
However, the consequences of his stay were important for his entire subsequent life. Formally, he entered the Vladimir Pedagogical Institute. But, as you can guess, studying at the university interested him little.
In Vladimir-on-Klyazma, Erofeev will meet his wife (the first of two), who will give birth to his son - the same boy who knows the letter "Yu".
In Vladimir, a circle of acquaintances will be formed, the so-called "Vladimirs", or Vladimir's "retinue". These people will be with Erofeev for the rest of his life and even further, and some of them will fall into the poem, and one Vladimir will fall into the dedication of the poem (yes, the poem has an initiation).
