Temple of Archangel Michael
Description:
The Church of Archangel Michael is the most unconventional in its appearance of all the churches of the city of Vladimir, which have survived to this day. The church building was built in the late 19th century.
This small temple, which can accommodate up to 400 people, was designed in the Byzantine style. Along with the beauty of its exterior and interior decoration, it is worth noting the unique acoustic properties of the building.
In 1929, the church of Archangel Michael was closed, and its bell tower was dismantled. It was only in 2010 that the church acquired its original appearance. Now the temple is crowned by a crystal cross (in place of the former mirror). At present, this church owns such shrines as the miraculous icons of the Mother of God “Bogolyubskaya”, “Feodorovskaya”, “Squire-to-hear”.
