Orthodox shrines of Vladimir
Description:
This excursion program is aimed at acquainting guests of Vladimir with the shrines and holy people of our city, who with their lives and exploits have made a significant contribution to the culture and Orthodox Christianity of Russia.
Particular attention is paid to the miraculous icons of the Mother of God, such as: Vladimir, Bogolyubskaya, Maximovskaya icons. The number of saints of the city is huge and is divided into several categories:
1. The Holy Princes and Princesses (Andrey Bogolyubsky, Prince Gleb, George Vsevolodovich, Alexander Nevsky, Princess Maria Shvarnovna, Vassa Bryachyslavovna).
2 Holy Metropolitans and Bishops (Metropolitan Maximus, Metropolitan Peter, Bishops Simon, Mitrophan, Serapion, Athanasius of Kovrov and others).
The advantages of the tour include the explanation of the concepts of "miracle-working icon" "holy", "holy relics" and their practical importance in the life of an Orthodox Christian.
Visit to the Assumption Cathedral during excursion time, Dmitrievsky Cathedral, Theotokos-Christmas Monastery, Holy Assumption Princess Women's Monastery, Bogolyubov Women's Monastery, Church of the Intercession on Nerli.
