Vladimir is my city. Golden Gate.

The Golden Gate of Vladimir was built in the distant 12th century. This happened in 1164 under Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky.

This was the most important symbol, which, according to the prince’s plan, was to confirm the importance of Vladimir as the new capital of Russia after Kiev. Vladimir’s Golden Gate surpassed Kiev’s by the fact that the only such ancient Russian gates have stood to this day, albeit with perestroika.
