Luchegorsk reservoir
Pozharsky district, Primorsky Krai
Description:
Primorsky GRES began to be built after the burial of brown coal was found in Pozharsky district. In this regard, in parallel with the station, a village was organized on the territory, in which workers were placed. And they called it Luchegorsk. Later there was a railway station to transport coal, and a reservoir, which was named after the village. A reservoir was formed on the River Controller. At the expense of the reservoir, the GRES operates, and the village receives water.
Luchegorsk reservoir is a huge area of about 10 square kilometers. Its length is almost seven kilometers, and its width is about a kilometer and a half. On the one hand, the shore of the reservoir is decorated with a concrete slab in which water passage facilities are made.
Today, the reservoir is very popular. This is not surprising, because the water is always clean, so thousands of tourists come here. On the coast there are tourist holiday homes, children's camps, sports facilities. In the latter open classes of water and sailing sports.
