Lake Youth

The parameters of the lake are very small. Its length is about 400 meters, and its width is slightly more than 150 meters. The shores are gentle, low, in places fenced with concrete slabs. A railway runs along the southwestern side of the lake. On the other side there is a tourist base and a treadmill.

The water in the reservoir is fresh, but slightly polluted. Swimming is forbidden, but many people do not stop.

In winter, the lake is covered with a thick ice crust. It hosts various sports competitions for sledging or skiing.

In the summer, everyone goes to the lake to fish. Citizens still remember the times when catfish and yards were caught here. They even set records. A few years ago, the fish disappeared. There is a legend that boiling water got into the drain, as a result of which everything died in the lake. In 2011, fry were launched into the pond and fishing started again.
