Sports Promenade

Sports Embankment in Vladivostok is a favorite vacation spot for citizens. Today, after a large-scale reconstruction, it looks especially attractive and cozy.

The first baths on the shore of the Amur Bay appeared in this area in the early XX century – water with high salinity was considered a panacea for many ailments. Then the local places were called Semyonovsky mowing. Where now stretches the embankment, there was a large fish bazaar, and soon there was a fish plant. In the late 40s of the last century, the bazaar was demolished, and in 1953 the first beach was equipped on the shore. Solarium, water stations, sports grounds - everything was aimed at a healthy rest. Along with the beach appeared and the embankment. Built on the site of the old fish market stadium gave every reason to call the embankment Sports.

A few years ago, the Embankment underwent a global renovation that changed its face for the better. The sidewalk was laid out with durable granite tiles of gray-blue shades - in the tone of sea water. There were original shape lights equipped with LED lamps. For the kids put slides and swings. The real decoration was new flower beds and planted trees. The main “highlight” of the new appearance of the Embankment was the fountain. It was completely re-equipped, making it light-musical. Now you can admire his water dances every night.
