Literary and Memorial Museum of A.A. Fadeev

The A.A. Fadeev Museum was founded on September 4, 1960 on the initiative of local residents and is the only literary and memorial museum of Russian classics in the country. It was here that Alexander Fadeev spent his childhood and youth, participated in the partisan movement of 1918-1920, began literary activity.

The exposition presents the following sections: “Life and work of the writer A. A. Fadeev”, “Pages from the history of the Chuguevsky district”, “Archaeological monuments and finds found in the territory of the Chuguevsky district”. The museum shows in detail and vividly the main stages of Fadeev’s life and work, the fate of his relatives, friends, and heroes of his works. Rare photo documents, first editions of books, personal belongings, furniture from the office, authentic illustrations to the works of the writer artists Glebov, Chebotarev, Romanyuk are presented.
