Memorial House-Museum of V.K. Arsenyev
690003, Primorsky Krai, Vladivostok, Arsenyeva St., 7
About the company:
The Memorial House-Museum of V.K. Arsenyev is the only surviving house in Russia where Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev lived and worked - an outstanding Russian and Soviet writer, scientist, researcher, a man of state thinking and duty, who made a significant contribution to the development of the Far East.
This house was built in the early XX century and belonged to the well-known in Vladivostok homeowner Andrei Fedorovich Zhikhov. The Arsenyev family moved into apartment number 4 on the second floor in June 1929. Since 1945, the street on which the house is located has been named after V.K. Arsenyev. In 1997, the building was transferred to the museum.
The location of the rooms in the apartment has been preserved as it was during the life of Vladimir Klavdievich: an office, a living room, a small bedroom and a nursery. In the study and living room, furniture and household items are arranged as it was during the life of the traveler, and instead of a bedroom and a nursery, an expedition hall.
