About the company:
The Red Pennant is one of five museum ships of pre-revolutionary construction located in Russia. The guard ship Red Pennant was built in 1911 at a Finnish shipyard. The single-rotor double-deck steam yacht was named in honor of the Kamchatka Governor V.S. Zavoiko, who led the defense of Petropavlovsk-on-Kamchatka in the Crimean War of 1853-1856.
At first, the ship was assigned to the Tallinn port, then after crossing the Baltic, Atlantic, Suez Canal, Indian and Pacific oceans to Kamchatka. After the Civil War, some of the combat and auxiliary ships were taken away by the retreating White Guards. The only warship in the Far Eastern waters was the Admiral Zavoiko, which in 1923 was given a new name "Red Pennant".
