About the company:
One of the many cultural attractions of Volgograd is the Volgograd Youth Theatre, whose history began on July 27, 2004, when the first rehearsal of the play “Notes of a Russian Traveler”, based on the work of Yevgeny Grishkovets, took place. For two years, the team performed without its own premises and financial support from the state. During this time, 4 performances were staged, they were shown at the theater and concert venues of the Volgograd region.
In March 2006, the theater became a municipal theater and opened a new page in the history of the rich Volgograd culture. In early 2008, the Volgograd Youth Theatre gave a beautiful charity performance in the city of Tskhinval, the capital of South Ossetia. In the same year, the theater troupe participated in the International Festival “Great Province” named after F. Ranevskaya.
In 2009, the troupe was invited to the International Festival “Melikhov Spring”. In October 2011, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the theater toured the North Caucasus, during which time it gave 26 performances in 9 cities.
