Let's go north. Volga HPP and "Ludnikov Island"
Description:
There are many places in Volgograd associated with military glory, but very few people know about the existence of the “Ludnikov Island”. This is a small section of the coastline, which in the autumn of 1942 was defended by soldiers of the Red Banner 138 Infantry Division of Colonel Ivan Ilyich Lyudnikov.
You will see a monument to soldiers - communication officers with the call sign "Roller".
Forty days and nights brave fighters kept a reliable connection, repulsed the stubborn attacks of the enemy. "Roller" will spin! - so reported to the command of one of the communications officers.
Having visited the “Ludnikov Island”, we will continue our way through the streets and avenues of Volgograd. Passing giant factories, residential areas, parks and squares. We will have a view of the Volga HPP.
Platinum will lead us to the city of Volga. Having made a big circle along the left bank, across the Volga-Akhtubinskaya floodplain, we will return on the “danced bridge” to Volgograd.
