ROSSOKA - a memorial to pain

Soviet and German soldiers are on the same memorial. But again on opposite sides of the road and silently watching each other. And the Germans are several times more! The tension in the air is enormous! Ruined families, crippled destinies, taken lives... What do they say to each other years later? Has that pain subsided, blind rage?

Their descendants have already said everything they think about this battle, have already unequivocally expressed their attitude to what happened here. Today, people from all over the world come here to feel those terrible events or to find their ancestors or just to understand how it could have happened.

We present to you one of the strongest places of the sacred Stalingrad land - the military country memorial "Rossoshki". We will see monuments, mass and individual graves, symbolic sculptural compositions on the Soviet and German parts of the cemetery. We will learn how both sides protect the peace of their fallen soldiers.

The events that took place here are enough for dozens of necropolises, hatred for entire peoples and generations. You will see a place full of symbolism, where two previously fiercely hated forces lie together. Were they able to reconcile, could they take such an important step? We have the answer to this question, but what do you feel and say?
