Central promenade
Description:
The central embankment, located in the hero city of Volgograd, is deservedly one of the most popular Volga parks today, as well as places for various solemn events and city celebrations of interesting events. The embankment, as a symbol of the revival of post-war Stalingrad, became an excellent addition to the “port of the five seas”.
The lower terrace is the city’s famous river station for transit or local ships, as well as some other river vessels. In the flood, a low part of this terrace is periodically flooded by the rising Volga waters. The upper terrace is a favorite place for traditional mass festivities. It is here that Victory Day is celebrated, celebrations in honor of the city and other events, especially significant for the country and the city, are held.
