The Art Fountain

The fountain composition "Art" can be seen on the central embankment of Volgograd. This is the main fountain of the city. The fountain was opened sixty years ago. The authors of the composition S. Aleshin and V. Shalashov. On the red granite stone stands three bronze sculptures of girls. Girls in folk costumes. Standing with their backs to each other, they froze in the dance. The inspiration for the authors was the famous ensemble of Russian folk dance "Birch".

There is a large recreation area around the fountain. There are benches, beautiful flower beds, original lighting. From the fountain, cute alleys of the embankment diverge in different directions. This is a favorite place for citizens and guests of the hero city for rest and walks.
