Elton Nature Park in Volgograd

Description:
Natural Park "Eltonsky" occupies about one hectare in the eastern part of the Volgograd region, in Pallasovsky district. The main natural monuments of the park are Mount Ulagan and Salt Lake Elton, into which mineralized rivers flow.
In the park there are endangered species of flora and fauna. Here are undisturbed systems of desert steppes, considered the only preserved in the European part.
Between the rivers Lantzug and Khara is located the southernmost forest area of the Volga region, where more than four hundred species of various plants, including rare.
