The retaining wall in Heroes Square

The retaining wall, located in the city of Volgograd, completes the Square of Heroes. The surface of the wall is smooth, but the author carved on it the offensive of Soviet troops near Stalingrad. There are other episodic pictures telling us about captured Germans, about the joy of Victory, the rally of the winners. The wall is especially popular among locals and tourists, a significant historical and architectural military monument of modern Russia.

The plot of the picture tells about the Great feat of the Great People, recalls the events of the distant war years. The main theme is the triumph of the Soviet people over the fascists.
