In the city of Alekseevka on Nekrasov Street there is an amazing building, which is a monument of urban architecture of the late XIX century. It houses the Alekseev Museum of Local Lore.

The Alekseev Museum of Local Lore was established in 1923. He began with a corner of local history that existed at the school for young people. Currently, the museum is located in a building built in 1895 by the Love brothers. It is distinguished by the decoration of the facade part in pseudo-Russian style. The first floor is partially closed by the cultural layer. The facade of seven windows has a three-part division, its symmetry does not correspond to the main entrance on the right. The center of the facade is highlighted by risalite in three axes, which is completed with an attic decorated with a relief kokoshnik. The interstory belt and the completion of the facades are richly decorated with belts, shelves, cloves and niches of different sizes.

In 1986, the building was transferred to the local history museum. Repairs were carried out here for several years, and on May 18, 1995 the museum received its first visitors.

In seven halls of the Alekseevsky Museum of Local Lore there are expositions that tell about the history of our region, starting from the ancient period to the modern era. The museum has more than 19 thousand exhibits, which is certainly the property of both residents of the Alekseevsky district and the entire Russian people.
