Elan Museum of Local History

The organization was established in 1961. Then in the House of Pioneers was opened a room of combat and labor glory. The first exhibits in it were documents about the civil war in the region and about the 16th infantry division named after V.I. Kikvidze. A lot of effort and energy gave the museum Valentina Stepanovna Goloviznina - the creator and first director. In 1980, the museum became a branch of the Volgograd Regional Museum of Local History. In 1989, on the 300th anniversary of Yelani, the reconstruction of all the halls of the museum was completed. The museum is currently a municipal institution. Amateur associations and clubs work at the museum: the School of Museum Skills, the Komsomol Generations Club, the literary and musical living room, the search team "Stalingrad Breakthrough".
