Did you know that Vologda is one of the largest railway hubs in Russia? That the legendary ambulance train No. 312 is from our city? What did the first locomotives rely on "on the successful arrival of the train at the final point" rumakh on the tablecloth?
On the tour we will learn how roads were built in the era of developed capitalism, how Vologda merchants fought for the branch and how the fate of the city changed with the first locomotive horns. We will walk along the railway places of Vologda, look at different (old and new) railway stations, cultural houses and even baths, look at protected corners with industrial architecture.
