Description:
The Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker in Vladychnaya Sloboda is one of the oldest churches of Vologda. It was built in 1669. The temple is a tall cube with five domes pressed closely together. Inside the temple, instead of the usual painting, the wall is covered with beautiful ornamental modeling. The main decoration of the church is a magnificent iconostasis, combining painting, sculpture and wooden carvings.
