Red Bridge

Red Bridge is a pedestrian bridge over the Vologda River in the city of Vologda. The first bridge on this site was built in the early XX century. In 1970, the bridge was dismantled, after which a fully reinforced concrete bridge was built on the same site in 1971. The place is famous for the fact that the film “The Property of the Republic” was filmed here.

Near the Red Bridge from Prechistenskaya embankment you can see the monument to the centenary of the appearance of electric lighting in Vologda. In the summer of 2010, to the 863th anniversary of the birth of the city of Vologda, a beautiful illumination was installed on the supports of the bridge.
